He lived in Feldberg (Müllheim) and all the villages Böchingen (which one?) are far distant.

Do you know GOV http://gov.genealogy.net/ ? There is a possibility to search for Böchingen. Feldberg (Müllheim is in the south of the Black Forrest. The distance to Bochingen (Oberndorf) is about 75 km and the distance to Böchingen (Pfalz) is more than 200 km. This is much more than they moved at that time.
