John Harris - death of this John Harris

This John Harris and his wife Mary Drew are documented in a 1995 book entitled "The Five Thomas Harrises of Isle of Wight County Virginia" by the eminent professional geneealogist JOHN A BRAYTON. in Chapter 1, pgs 63-70.

The seven chilldren of John Harris and Mary Drew named in the 1745 Will of Mary's father Edward Drew were all considered as over the age of 14 years of age as each was given a slave in this1745 Will. Since the Will did not mention any guardianship or underage requirements, the legal assumption is that all these seven children were all over the age of consent.
