The bad merge is undone. I completed a number of the previously referenced stacked merges, but there are a number involving some variation of "Paul Boulet" that need more research. It could be that some are duplicates, but others are brothers who died in infancy.

Hi, I am not sure that this is the right place to post my question, so please point me at the right forum if this isn't the one. I got a permission from the Belgian State Archives to post photos of relatives who perished in the holocaust with two conditions. One is that the photos won't be freely downloadable by Geni users and the other is that the photos will quote the archive as the source. The second condition can be met through watermarking, but does anybody know if there is a way to satisfy the first condition? Gideon

Gideon D Intrater -- FYI if you add a Photo to a Public Profile, it comes up in search even for nonGeni Users, and anyone not just geni users can dowload it.
If it is only tagged to a Private Profile, then it can only be seen by people logged in to Geni who have edit right to see the Profile -- mainly those in the Profile's Max Family and the Max Family of the Profiles Manager,(s).
Not sure if that is restricted enough for them, plus diligence would be needed to make sure nobody changed to Public

For some analysis (see my profile description for details) I would need to separately export each of my grandparents but in two out of the four cases I cannot do so at the moment because I am just manager but not the main manager so could I please be made the main manager of the following two profiles?

• Gustav Eduard Kafka

• Elisabeth Johanna Kafka

Philipp E. Kafka - in order to export from a profile, you need to be the person who first added the profile to Geni - that is, the one whose name comes after "Added by:" -
Being manager or even Primary Manager is irrelevant.
" (Note: you may only export a GEDCOM file focused on profiles that you added to Geni.)" - does not matter if you also added it; if you are not the one credited with originally adding, no can export from it, exception being from you yourself

By the way, seems like parents are special-handled because I haven't added them and yet I can start an export from their profiles.

Philipp E. Kafka, as far as I know you should be able to export from profiles within your family group and those that you added yourself outside your family group.
(It could be that I'm mistaken because it is rather a long time ago that I tested the GEDCOM export).

Job Waterreus, well my grandparents are obviously in my family group so apparently this does not apply (any more), but it would make sense it if did.

See https://www.geni.com/inconsistencies/for_profile/6000000005791557943 . There are inconsistencies reported for one of Janet's children, who was apparently born before she was. Not sure what the tree should look like here or how it got that way.

Tina Mitchell, I'm not a curator, but I'm sorry about the loss of your cousin.

If you go to her profile page and in the upper right corner use the Action drop-down menu and choose "report". Then select the reason "deceased". There is also a comment area.

If I've missed anything, perhaps a curator could please weigh in.
