How to deal with fmilies in multiple languages and different local law re; adoption etc.

To this particular problem, it was the custom in Dutch and Belgian families , that when there was an infant death, the next child of the same gender be given the same name. So in my family thee are many duplicate names among siblings especially in families where siblings numbered in double digits I have dealt with this by putting infant death in the middle name blank for lack of another way.
