How do you get related to me.

I am trying to find a Henry or John Taylor who had a son named Perry Vandevander Taylor born in Monterey Virginia in 1869. Henry or John was married to Sarah Trimble, Gum, Taylor, Vess. Any relation to be above data?

The John Henry Taylor you are looking for is John Henry Taylor

I have been working with his male descendants to find proof of his parentage. I share the same Y-DNA haplo subgroup as this John Henry Taylor. John Henry Taylor is in Taylor Group R1b-004.

My ancestors were from Virginia as far back as 1800. All of the Y-DNA in group R1b-004 ties into the children of Charles M. Taylor Charles M Taylor except my DNA.

From the DNA there is only one descendant on here with his Y-DNA and that is through John Henry's brother Charles Jackson Taylor. This person has a 1 genetic step from me in 67 markers. I have repeatedly emailed this descendant, to only find out they are deceased. There are 4 people on FTDNA with varying degrees of Y-DNA tests that are descendants of John Henry Taylor. There is descendant of GreenBerry Taylor that has 2 step genetic distance at 67 markers and 5 step genetic distance at 111 markers. It doesn't make much sense that it can vary that much. Below is a link to Genetic Taylor page that contains the Y-DNA matches to John Henry Taylor.

In the coming weeks I will have a Big-Y test added to this group on FTDNA's Taylor Project. If you would like more information on John Henry Taylor, I can put you in contact with 2 of those individuals who have done extensive Y-DNA testing and research into John Henry Taylor.

Sorry, but John Henry Taylor is not on my Family Tree.

Also, not on my family tree.

Sorry do not have John Henry Taylor in my tree.

The Taylor in my tree is Col. John Powell Taylor 1696- 1780

Not sure how this was linked to me (Any ideas?) although I have a Taylor connection thru the Fleming side of my family in nys. I haven’t started my research on that end though. But if there’s a definite link I can look into it from here.

I do not know your line, but there is also a large group of Taylors that were in Louisiana.

Some how we are all related and just wish the puzzle was simple.

Not any of my ancestors.

Not in my lineage that I’m aware of.

Sorry, not in my tree. Good luck.

Sorry I don’t have a John Henry Taylor in my tree. I have a Thomas Taylor born in Brooklyn NY in 1878. Probably no connection.

Take note there are 3 John Henry Taylors in NC about the same time. 2 of them married a Maggie. One of those married Maggie Seneca and the other narried Lilly Margaret "Maggie" Hicks. The John Henry that married Lilly Margaret is the father of my adoptive Dad.

Not on my family tree

I will review what I have.
