My family's Christian name is Chort and originated in Western Ukraine near Dubky

Does any one have any information regarding the Chort family surname?
As far as I know it originated in the Dubky area of western Ukraine. some embers changed their names to Hort and some to Court when they came to Canada. I am just getting this research so any leads will be of great help.
