Erastus Gibbs - Death place

Erastus Gibbs was born in the State of New York in the year of 1820. When at 2 year his parents moved to ohio, where he resided till 1858, when he moved to illinois, and lived here till he died on the 7th day of september 1893. He was buried in the White cemetery by the side of his wife who died in 1866.
Mr. Gibbs has been on the decline for some month, yet his death was quite sudden. He was up on his feet at noon and at 5 o'clock he was dead. He made arangements for his funural and requested that Elder Dickens officiated and that Miss Emma Mannon take charge of the music. ()wing to the condition of the body, no services were held expecting a prayer at the home and the burial titual at the grave, which was conducted by Rev. Dickens on saturday september 9th.
