Could it be that Anne Clarke was first married to Robert Cowsert? Where they had 4 children together. Robert Cowsert (Jnr), Mary Ann, John Richard and Eliza Jane Cowsert.

Robert Cowsert died around 1836 and Anne Clarke Cowsert then married John Lawrence Sharp?
And they then had 3 children. Charlotte Matilda Victoria, Sophia Stanley and Walter Henry Benjamin Sharp.

And my connection to Anne Clarke is via Charlotte Matilda Victoria Sharp.

Could be.
At point 6 of John Lawrence Sharps death notice it state he was married to the widow (and then it looks like) Cawserl, but could be Cowsert.
And both were from Clan William.
