I have disconnected her from noble parents with the surname Gleane. I have not seen evidence of her birth surname, except in WikiTree (Gleane or Glen supposedly).
My source has her surname as unknown. Can anyone find primary or reliable secondary evidence for her birth surname? Or for where or when she was born?
Very few early American families are descended from British nobility. We have projects on Geni for families with known noble ancestry.
From online trees, it's clear that the only daughter of Sir Peter Gleane and his wife, Lady Penelope Gleane (Rodney) was named Frances and lived only into her late teens, dying in England.
It looks like Hannah might have been Dutch, some trees give her name as Annetje and she may have been born in New Amsterdam.

From the nice notes on the Find A Grave for Thomas Pettit and from the Morrell family genealogy, I have concluded that Hannah Pettit (1647 - after 1678) is not the same person as Hannah, wife of Joseph Morrell. It's possible, but none of the serious researchers suggest this. I'm not sure the births of the children or the marriage with Morrell actually work with someone born in 1647.
The people you talk about are rookie genealogists that have no knowledge of history and who have not gone through all of the records thoroughly.
The Book “The ancestry of Daniel Morrell of Hartford and his descendants and some contemporary" ...Thomas Morrell the founder of the Morrell died 1704 he married Hannah unknown estimated marriage between 1661-1664
Hannah age would have been between 14-16 when she married, this was the normal age.his estimated date of the birth of Thomas Morrell 1662
I see you have Sir Peter Gleane 1st Barron of Hardwick the progenitor of the Pettit family was Cyriak Petyt Esq. of Manor of Colkins in Boughton Blean Lawyer, Politician and servant of John Baker I, speaker of the house of commons, Attorney General, Canceler of the Exchequer and the counsellor to Henry VII.
Rookie geneologist have given Hannah the surname of "Gleane" taken from Newtown of William Gleane a town clerk (lawyer) who took the place of John Burroughs..William' brother Anthony Gleane was also a clerk and witness to the only record found with signatures of Thomas & Hannah Morrell.
In annuals of Newtown Anthony Gleane m. Ester widow of Samuel Sallis and died 1691 he left son William Thomas.& Anthony Gleane.. William was the town clerk (lawyer) Anthony also a clerk.
The first name of Hannah Morrell appears in a 1686 court record with her husband Thomas Morrell they transfer 10 acre swamp land in Hemstead to their son Thomas Morrell Jr. If you look at the record Thomas Morrell was issued this land the same time and next to Thomas Pettit and Nathaniel Pettit
I can name several other records were the Morrell's are connected to the Pettit family ... Hannah the daughter of Thomas & Christian Pettit had a daughter Sarah Pettit who married Thomas Skillman.
John W.Morrell was the grandson of Thomas & Hannah Morrell his farm house was in Dutch Kills.. The farm house was built in 1725 and destroyed by fire in 1925 (photo on historical website)
Source; Annuals of Newtown; John W. Morrell death occurred Oct 1768 his only son John b.Oct 21, 1733 succeed to his estate and married Elizabeth father of Abraham Skillman...Abraham Sillman was the grandson of Thomas Skillman and Sarah Pettit the sister of Hannah Pettit
Heres another interesting connection
Anthony Gleane Sr. (Anthony Gleane Jr witness Morrell record Newtown) served in the garrison of Gov. Nichols also Thomas Skillman (record 1666 Newtown) also served in the garrison of Gov. Nichols ..
John Morrell & Thomas Morrell residents of Newtown 1655-56 page 406 source; Rev. John Moore of Newton, Long Island and his descendants. No records between 1656 to 1663/6 perhaps Morrell also served in the garrison under Gov. Nichols as well…
Thomas Skillman m. Sarah Pettit abt. 1669 Thomas Morrell m. Hannah unknown estimated marriage between 1661-1664 The Pettit sisters both married men who served under Gov. Nichols?
