Hello just some thoughts: I have also reached a brick wall for Carolina's parents

This is the information obtained for the Willem Adolf who was married to Catharina Maria Hoffman 1753-?. The pertinent point is the paragraph containing 'after 15 years of service' that in 1806 he refers to a wife and child? - as apposed to wife and children (the other two children from Catharina's previous marriage). The inference is that he had a child with Catharina some time after their marriage in 1788 - or he had another relationship

Carolina obviously cannot be the daughter of the Willem Adolf Ackerman and Catharina Maria Hoffman as she would have been born when her mother was aged 57y.

Perhaps the Hoffman researchers would have more information on Catharina as I have been unable to find any indication as to her death date or remarriage or anything.

I think that Willlem died around 1816 as it is the last year of the Insolvent Liquidation And Distribution Account. Starting 1801 Ending 1816
