Moshe Weinberg (sometimes Weinberger; 19 September 1939 – 5 September 1972) was the coach of the Israeli international wrestling team as well as being the coach of Hapoel Tel Aviv. He was the Israeli youth champion in wrestling and also the adult champion for a period of 8 years.
Moshe (Muni) Weinberg was born in Haifa after his family managed to flee Vienna from the Nazis in 1938. After his parents separated, he grew up with his grandparents. Weinberg's neighbor Erwin Becker, a former wrestler from Germany, introduced him to this sport and became his coach. Weinberg became an Israeli champion several times in the 1950s and thus came to the Wingate Sports Center, where he worked as a coach after his active career.
