Has his parent's been verified? I have Townsend ancestor's but have only been able to verify back to my 5th great grandfather Jacob 1790-1880. I know that the Townsend/Townshend line goes as far back as the 20th century but have not been able to connect with my line. Wish I could! One relative states that William McConkey Townsend 1750-1830 is not in my line. My line seems to have settled in NC though and some moved to east TN.
I was born in east TN and currently live in central Florida since 2008 after living in northern VA for 18 years.
