I would like to withdraw a match I submitted via 'Merge Center". Is hat possible, and if yes, how?

Brian

Go to your merge center, choose to look at merges requested by you click on that merge request and you will see that option.

Thanks , but only a few (3) appear and I have request , many more.
Brian

To see requests you made - in merge center, choose Requested Merges - then click box towards upper right to get drop down menu and from drop down menu choose requested by you.

Actual wording is "Requested by me". Drop-down menu upper right after word " Viewing".

Did that -('Requested bu me")- and got the following reply

"There are currently no requested merges for the "Requested by Me" collection."

Yet when I go to the "Merge Center" it has more that 50 "pending matches"?
i have submitted a bug report about a similar problem, but no answer yet.

Brian

Sorry about my typos - fat fingers

There are Tree Matches - blue boxes - which are suggested matches.
There are Requested Matches - which are matches requested by others.

And there are matches "requested by me" - which it took me forever to discover how to find.

I do not see any labelled "pending matches" and am not sure which set you are referring to.

You have to click on the drop down menu WHILE you have chosen "Requested Merges" in order to get the choice "Requested by Me" to appear as one of the choices. Did you do that?

That really helps. The ones I see are orange and thus "requested by others.
"Newbie" me, agreed that they were matches, and now I am stuck with them
in my 'Matches' page, any way to get rid of them?

And I thought I was helping, not adding work

Brian

If they were requested by others, it will indicate which profile the requester(s) are connected to. If you are connected (manager, in Max Family of a manager, in Max Family of the profile) of the other profile, then when you approve, the merge will happen.
If you are connected to the same profile, then the merge will still wait for somebody from the other profile to approve it before it happens.

If you look at it again after you approved it, what are your choices?
