I was given this medal by an in-law who thought it may be connected with my husband's line of the Burgess family. Our connection is through Charles Burgess (Convict) of Wollombi. There are a lot of Burgess's in the greater area of Cessnock & Millfield's not that far afield. In have stummbled on to Basil on Geni this morning. I have posted the photo of the medal, but if a near relative (preferably direct line) would like the medal please leave a message & I will keep an eye out for the next little while. We will see what may be arranged.
