That would mean that PIerre is not the stepfather but the actual father of Catharine With the name of Pierre it sounds likely his folks may have come from France but I'm having trouble tracing it. Any ideas? The fact that their daughter married a Huguenot is further evidence of a French connection. Also the fact that there was a later famous French poet by the name of Pierre Reverdy makes it harder to find this Pierre Reverdy. Is it possible the last name is Anglicized as well?
