Very. Passing on that the nieces and nephews of Francis (Lightfoot) Gibson of
via her niece, Sarah Sallie Lott, are 100% sure that a disconnection of the "adoptive" parents is reflective of what years of study on this line show. This merge of today's merge is caught in time to reverse or a disconnection is sought. TIA.
I’m confused.
The dates for the bio parents don’t look right either:
Parents: Thomas (Quaker Minister) Lightfoot, II (1645 - 1725) & Mary Lightfoot Wiley (1655 - 1716)
Parents: Thomas Lightfoot (1720 - d.) & Mary (Vann) Lightfoot (1715 - 1790)
Spouse: Unknown
Husband: Gibson "Gibby" Gibson (1668 - 1727)
???
Of interest....

Talks about the Gibsons…. Gibby's brother Gilbert and their parents. And talks about the Lightfoot family burial location. Frances's parents should be buried there....
I don't know how the heck it copied it like that....should be....

Wait a minute.....WHY is Francis listed as being buried in the Sand Point Cemetery??? WRONG Francis! THIS is the Francis Gibson buried there....
Francis Gibson, Paspahge Algonquin
Corrected the burial places. The bio parents got removed and the native folks of years of 7th generation atDna studies are now showing as Quakers none of the descendants claim, which would be hundreds including Lumbar River, Cape Fear, Old Cheraw, and most every Eastern Native cousin whose been working on the Paspagegh connection since 2012 together, so it would be appreciated if you put the Vann mother back and the Thomas Lightfoot who the Colonial Dames said was the acendant line of Sallie Lightfoot Lott. Thanks in advance.
Who were these Lightfoots mentioned (Francis and Philip)....
http://www.historical-melungeons.com/gibsonnotes.html
I believe they may have been these profiles....
They were the LIghtfoots to the Vann mom in the Revisions tab and were chromosome mapped backwards with a lot of effort with folks from the last names' you gave above's descendants cooperating as well. We know for sure, without a doubt, whom they were 7 gens back and it was to the parents disconnected when the new Quacker parents were added erroneously.
They don't. Did not mean to imply that. The cousins from all the various groups were ferreted to their own atdna routes and the one that went to each and all, we had representation. The correct parents for this particular group were painstakingly worked out for a very long time. I was hoping that Revision Tab would be a friend to all who may have to go there to see the bio tale. Or, the parents can be restored as before.
How is it possible that Thomas Lightfoot (1720 - d.) & Mary (Vann) Lightfoot (1715 - 1790) are correct parents? They are in the same generation as Frances GIBSON. And her supposed son Gideon Gibson, of the Pee Dee River shows a 1700 birth date.
Gibson "Gibby" Gibson / Papagegh & Congaree Cheraw Her husband shows dates
relative?
Gibson "Gibby" Gibson MP
Gender: Male
Birth: 1668
James City County, Virginia
Death: 1727 (58-59)
Charles City, Charles City County, Virginia
Place of Burial: Hula - Mikulas Family Cemetery, Charles City, Charles, Virginia
Immediate Family:
Son of Thomas Gibson and Elizabeth Gibson (Chavis)
Even if his birth date is off, his death date is firm. So his wife is presumably some 20 years before her children, meaning 1680s if Gilbert ll is accurate.
Thomas Lightfoot & Thomas Lightfoot show as the parents of Sarah “Sallie” (Lightfoot) Lott died 1818. Wife of John A. Lott, founder of Marion, MS born 1742.
Massive generation confusion.
John Lightfoot that many thought was our kin was not the one married to Mary clack many people claimed Mary was Indian not the one living and died in 1747. Since Dorcas Lightfoot was born est 1766I don’t have it pulled up. Confusing family for sure in 1600 era is when a capt allowed his two boys to come and style in VA. This is not our kin yet. In those days being married or living with Indians your family would disown you or day dead. So what I have is Dorcas and Nancy Lightfoot their father was capt John Lightfoot born 1732 died before 1781 in NC. He was married to Catherine Norvell in VA. Then to gahoga if the deer clan His father was John Lightfoot mother Mary Mumford if VA. BURRIED in VA 1782. Kent county. His father was Maj Sherwood light foot and is wife ? 1659-1713. John light foot born 1686-1726
John light foot born 1711-1782. Capt light foot born 1732-1781. His father John also born in 1711 had a baby boy died no name col philip Lightfoot. Armstrad 1730 cap John 1732-1781. Still under research
