@ John Temby born 1826
A John Temby is my ancestor and I have much evidence to prove he died Jan 2, 1897. His wife was Elizabeth RUSSELL and he was born about 1831 in Camborne. They married in Cornwall in 1854 and arrived in Adelaide that December. Went to Victoria for a while where their son John Temby was born in 1858. He came to the WA Goldfields about 1895, leaving his wife and children with his father John in Adelaide but he died Jan 2, 1897. I do not think our John who died in 1897 is the son of Christopher who married Grace but am open to the suggestion if it can be proved. I suggest that the researcher may simply have the wrong date of death for her John Temby.
