Why is Isaac Wolfe Bernheim, for instance, not in your inventory.. The inventory is really not very large and is full of Americana and Israeli politicians from days gone by................... Isaac Wolfe Bernheim was a major industrialist creating Harpers Whiskey and a major major Jewish philanthropist.. I read about his Bernheom Forest but Ochs , his sort of relative is included.. And Weis Markets founders also excluded
So many refugees settled in United Kingdom and contributed great successes to their homeland but not in the lists

Eric Michael Elias, the app has been updated. Of course, not every important personality in Jewish history is included. It is up to the curators at the museum and depends on things they have to display in the museum.

Logged into Geni and tried to load the new app, but it would not load. I clicked on the yellow/orange icon and it said I had 0 matches but the program was still trying to load. I then clicked on the three dots to the right and it brought me here. settlinger@comcast.net or cruiseteachers@gmail.com are my two email addresses.

The App shows that I am related to 254 people on my maternal side. However, it appears the relation Ulrich is really to a relatives husbands family to whom I have no blood relation to. My fathers family is 100 percent Ashkenazi decent and not showing a connection.

Laura Kathleen Parker it all depends on how connected your tree is to the rest of of the World family Tree. If you connect more on your father's side, some of the paths may go that way. Geni finds the shortest path to display.

Laura Kathleen Parker try adding some aunts, uncles and cousins and you may get a tree match that you can use to connect that part of your tree.

Another progress report... I got all 946 links onto my mobile phone. Took a while not almost cannot get rid of it.

I very disappointed at the content
I see nothing much that is contemporary.. Three still alive pop us. Yes to Deborah Lipstadt but Arie Belldegrun and Chara Alberstein are meant to represent contemporary society???

And then I look at my sort of closer links... I read about Egon Friedell who did 1938 suicide... I then look at Clara Haber.. Interesting personality perhaps but also suicide yet her husband also a wierdo is ignored
And again .....The content we are working with............ Are these people what will stimulate the MTV youth of today... I start to find the content depressing whereas it should be uplifting

Chava Alberstein is a very important, known and famous singer-songwriter in Israel. Alberstein has released more than 60 albums. Alberstein is a champion of liberal causes. Throughout her career, she has been an activist for human rights and Arab-Israeli unity.
There is much more to say about her, but she definitely deserves her place as a famous folk-singer in an Israeli museum.

As for Arie Belldegrun, he has a very impressive Curriculum Vitea. In my opinion he deserves to be on the BH list not for his wealth but for his achievements as a cancer researcher.

I am a Jew from the diaspora with 100% ashkenazi roots with huge family tree put together from modest pre Internet era Stammbaumbuch to thousands on Geni and My Heritage
BH is now known as Museum of the Jewish People rather than Beit Hatfutsot
Surely the content should be educating us on our heritages rather than perplexing.?

I apologise for not being familiar the the Israeli icons we discuss here but in this field, where is Ofra Haza? Where is Leonard Cohen? Where is Netta?? I was at the Eurovision Jamboree where My Heritage were promoting Netta and her interesting family tree. The MTV generation respond to such icons just as they do at Madame Tussauds where exhibits are amended every time there is a revolution

Moving on.... Today I looked at one of my closest living relatives. AGNES KELETI.
I now know that she is in Israel and is oldest living Olympic Champion. I see that she is exactly 100 years old 9 Jan 1921 with an interesting history but surely she should be given new respect in Society. My link to her through my Obuda great grandparents is easy to comprehend. unlike so many. I quite would like to say Hello to her. She has survived
Here in Britain we also have Sir Ben Hefgott another refugee who captained the 1956/1960 Weightlifting Teams and is a prominent speaker on antisemitism/ in good health aged 91 yet excluded from the Museum of the Jewish People programme.

I totally understand your frustration. All I wanted to explain in my last comment was why those two names you mentioned (Chava Alberstein and Arie Belldegrun) are on the BH list. As to Leonard Cohen, he definitely is on the BH list as well as Ofra Haza. I saw that Agnes Keleti is also on the BH list. In general, the curators of the BH project are in charge of the list and who is on it, I doubt if Geni has any influence on their list

By the way, my paternal g-g-grandfather was Joseph son of Elias, for some unknown reason his son changed his name to Elias Joseph.

My Elias segment is a very weak one, Very involved around the Obuda Budapest III community.and

This project needs larger population from our generation which might attract media attention and publicity
