I am a 6th great granddaughter of Captain Matthew and have been researching this line for many years. I refer to the Matthew Dill Genealogy books by Rosalie Jones Dill.
This is a message to any descendants that the information on this site is incorrect.
Captain Matthew NEVER had a second wife. And he NEVER had a son named George.
Captain Matthew was married to Mary and they had 7 children:
James 1720-1796
Thomas 1722-1750
Matthew 1726-1812
Mary 1728-1768
John 1735-1766
Ann (Nancy) 1737-?
Sarah 1741-?
