Unmarried Women or "Maiden Ladies" or "Old Maids"

I have been hunting to see if there is a project for this as I think there should be. I have a number of them in my family and some of them are quite remarkable, but today I read this tombstone....

"A woman of indomitable courage, unflinching firmness of purpose, strong will power and self-reliance, and possessed of great personal charm."

If someone knows of a project for unmarried women, please let me know or I will start one. Willa Cather said "Marriage is for women who have no art." I hate for them to be forgotten. Susanne

I'm looking for a symbol or picture for it. I thought of the symbol for Virgo, but that seems too restrictive. Maybe Elizabeth I. She was a happening "spinster."
