I know that I am a direct grandson of Thomas Chandler through his great-great grandson William Chandler who came to the American colonies in the 1600s. I would like to find someone who knows they are a direct DNA link to John Oare Le Chaundeler of Bishop’s Stortford so I can see if we also have a positive DNA link between us. This would show the link between Thomas and his father John.

if u find a dns link, let me know please. I have this line from my Granny chandler blackard, her line going back to John, who was my 16th great grandfather. thanks, Verna Cobern

When Samuel Chandler was born on January 20, 1708, in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, his father, SAMUEL, was 34 and his mother, DORCAS, was 35. He married Sarah Gill and they had five children together. He also had one child with Samuel Chandler. He died in August 1794 in Stoughton, Massachusetts, having lived a long life of 86 years.

Michael, the Chandler Family Ass. has a DNA Project that shows a line from Bishop Stortford. You should contact the CFA and request a Genealogical panel for your line. I am in a different line and heading down a different road, but if I can assist you, please contact me! Tom Chandler, Group 8.
