I have just encountered Gilbert Alberson, mariner who seems to have married his 1st cousin: Jane Alberson

research now begins to find more sourcing

Abraham Alberson seems to be the likely father as Jane would not have married her own brother and there aren't any other immediately identifiable Alberson young men old enough to have had a child by 1699,
