Why do they bother to include instructions to go the the tree, edit, choose relationship and remove when you try to correct relationships. The "remove" does not work when an individual has two sets of parents. It's frustrating,

I believe that may be one of the few things that works for a Pro but not for a Basic User.
In any case, I know it does work for me.

What does it do when you do it? (for example, do you get an error message? or does it say it has done it, but they remain? or does the screen freeze? or can you not click on "remove"? or ??)

The "remove" button does not light up. It has worked before but now it doesn't. It's not like I'm trying to delete profiles altogether, just want to move them. It must be because I'm a basic user instead of a pro. As it stands now, I have two sets of parents, one of whom I have never crossed paths, I would like to keep my original parents.....after all, I've had them for over 80 years. Thanks for your help.

Assuming your parents are the Bartons, I disconnected Peter Hay and Mary Clarke. It's not that instructions don't work, but you were prevented from doing that because this action splits the tree. Ordinary users don't have the ability to split the tree,

When you come across something you can't do in geni, post your request in this discussion https://www.geni.com/discussions/192543 and one of the curators will help you out. That discussion is being monitored by many curators and you are likely to get quick response.

Thanks for your assistance. I've been trying to find grave sites and dates for profiles to try to help on Geni. I truly appreciate your help.
