Remember that none of these are of the person itself, - only propagated YDNA results from a direct male descendant.
It could be subgroups of each other, and the haplogroup name depends on what test you have made, YDNA-12, YDNA-37, YDNA-111 etc. My YDNA haplogroup name changed each time I upgraded. The DNA experts could probably give you an answer if those haplogroups is just variants.
Secondly over so many years you need to take into account mutation rates, - which I have read is around 160 years for a SNP.
Third of course one or more of the male descendant lines is wrong, both research wise and that a mother have lied about or did not know for sure who was the father to the child.
