Hi Sandra
I attached a photo from the original marriage certificate I found on a trip to Knysna.
This certificate shows the date of marriage as 27 May (1881). The year is not shown on the certificate but I could ascertain the year from certificates prior and after this date.
I've also previously attached a screenshot of a certificate that shows the date as 1 June 1881.

I have no idea why they would've gotten married at both the church and the magistrate.

I am not changing the marriage date on the profile, and leave it up to you to decide.

Thanks, we do have the marriage certificates, but we didn't have Umberto's Birth/baptism certificate.
We tried to find more info on where exactly, and which year Angelo was born, when we were in Milan, some years ago, but had no luck.
His age differs on different documents.
It is quite a few years since we have done any searching for any new info.
