John Mccabe - I think that father and son are being confused.

I suspect the John McCabe who married Mary Josephine Nolan was the son born 1845~1848 not the dad born 1811. I highly doubt that this elder John McCabe is the father of their 8 children.

I mean circa 1815 not 1811.

HI, this is a different branch of the family, my grandfather Percy James McCabe was a son of John McCabe and Mary Jane McCabe (Nolan). So not the same as James Percy McCabe son of John McCabe and Mary Josephine McCabe (Nolan) but definitely related.

This q1880 marriage record on his timeline belongs to my great grandparents:
