I can find no record showing a death date of January 14, 1756 for Daniel Hubbard.
Per Barbour, there is a Sgt. Daniel Hubbard who was b. c. 1672 and d. November 24, 1755 in Haddam, but as always, there are so many Hubbards in the same town at the same time that it's hard to tell if that's him. The November 24 date is used on some FindAGrave records, but 1) there's no citation and 2) they have him buried in two cemeteries where neither is actually possible.
There's a February 12, 1756 Middletown probate record for a Daniel Hubbard who died March [4?], 1755. It says he left a widow but doesn't name one. It does name a son Daniel and a daughter Martha, so it *could* be a fit. Anyone want to see if you have better luck making out the death date? Every published genealogy I've checked says something different, with a lot of them simply repeating Cutter.
Anyone have any ideas?
