Does anyone know the source of the statement on the project page " Thirty Jews returned after the war, and the community was reestablished in 1949. A year later 20 Jews immigrated to Israel, with the remaining Jews served by the nearby Kyjov Jewish community."?

My father's notes were that one of his cousins (@Franz, as well as the widow and daughter of another cousin returned--and thus presumably were among the 30--and that, after his cousin's death in 1946, the other cousin's widow and daughter left for Palestine--and thus presumably among the 20.

Hi Ralph,

Several year ago I met with the late Michal Efrath ( born in Ostrava and died in 2017 in Kibbutz Givat Haim ) her family was from Uhersky Brod. Large family! may be her family in Israel has some information. She is from the Thorsch family from Uhersky Brod.
My graet uncle Hynek / Ignac Thorz ( brother of Michal's grandfather ) - originally from Uhersky Brod did not survive.

Here's the source, or at least one of them:

It should be cited in the project page.

Thanks. I guess the question is where did Michael Miller, who wrote the article, get his information. I have found an email address for him and will try to get more detail. Thanks.

He says that particular information came from the book cited on the project page (Hugo Gold, ed., Gedenkbuch der untergegangenen Judengemeinden Mährens (Tel Aviv, 1974), pp. 113–116), which he says is is a yizkor book for Moravian Jewish communities, though he doesn't remember whether it includes names.
