I am a direct descendant of Dr Alexander Todd and was wondering how the names, Neil, William and one other has been added as his children. As according to our family records he had three daughters and one son. Are you able to verify this for me.

Hello, Gai. Thank you for asking. I confess that I can not remember where the other three children came from. If it comes back to me, I shall let you know. On the New Zealand births records I can not find any births to Annie Mary Todd other than the four that you mention. Looking at the deaths is not very helpful because the parents are not given but there are a William and an Alexander who died young at about the right time.

Hello again Gai. I still can't work out where those extra three Todd children came from but consulting the New Zealand birth records (https://www.bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz/Search/Search?Path=que...) again, Alexander, William and Neil Todd were born, each to Annie and Alexander, in 1881, 1884 and 1886.
