the woman named Esther of Stanov appears twice on the GENI tree: 1) Esther of Stanov, and 2) ester (dauther of rabbi hirtz from stanow) Halpern (Segal)), in both cases she is the daughter of a 'Hirtz of Stanov'; there could be two different Esthers, but unlikely they would have the same father so perhaps the only inaccuracy is one of the fathers' names; whoever added these two please review and make any necessary corrections

Hi Adam,

I would like to throw in an observation, hopefully, to further inform the discussion. One of the two profiles for Esther shows her married to an R' Isaac ABD Tykocin (which also appears to be a duplication of a similar profile), while the other shows her married to R' Moses. I want to bring to your attention that this R' Isaac ABD Tykocin has been documented in Unbroken Chain (in a footnote) to have been married to Beila, daughter of R. Mordecai Segal. So... I'm noting here that one of the two profiles you have for Esther indicates that she was born a Segal, just as Beila was born a Segal. If this is correct, it begs the question of how the 2 of them might be related.

Incidentally, Itzjak Halpern, ABD Tykocin is not actually a descendant of the Meir of Padua, so is only mentioned in UC because his son married an unnamed daughter of R' Jacob Shor, and so the descendants of that son are covered in the section of the book on the descendants of Jacob Shor.

@Claudia, I have no knowledge regarding whether Hirsz Segal bca1520 of Stanow is related to Mordechai Segal bca1618 of Posnan. Maybe if Haim Katz - Hachoen Wartski has some source material that could be investigated. For now though I would be glad simply to know where the fact of Ester bat Hirsz from Stanow's marriage to Moshe Heilprin arises from. ATB, Adam

Private User,

This Esther is a mystery to me as well as I don't know what the source is for her being married to R' Isaac ABD Tykocin either. In UC, the only wife's name that is mentioned at all for R' Isaac ABD Tykocin seems to be Beila, daughter of Mordecai HaLevi Segal, son of David Halevi Segal, the TaZ.

Claudia

p.s - What is ATB?

Hi Claudia, Another possibility is that Beileh and Ester refer to the same person since they are both bat Segal and married to Yitzach ABD TYkocin (under Ester profile #1). If this turns out to be the case then Kevin could simply merge those two and delete the marriage to Moshe, and also merge Mordechai and Hirsz Segal. I would still like to see if any source info appears regarding Ester #2 and her father, before taking those moves. If no verifiable source appears then I would suggest simply detaching Ester #2 and her father from the Heilprin tree, with a note that they were detached for lack of a confirming source. To avoid further issues and to preserve the work done, perhaps Zevulon should become an MP (and perhaps also Moshe, and maybe others).
A(ll)T(he)B(est),
Adam

The source of the information is from jewishjen, but it doesn't matter anymore because kevin Disconnect the profile completely until he reconnects the entire Halperin family

Haim Katz - Hachoen Wartski and Private User,

Haim Katz - Hachoen Wartski is absolutely correct about the fact that the profile you linked to for Esther #2 is not currently connected to the main tree, and actually, she is isolated in a standalone tree right now that consists only of herself and her father.

That said, I was just looking at that jewishgen link on Esther #2's profile, and it does show a nice interactive profile for David Halpern's line of descent, although I couldn't find Esther on that chart. I did find Moshe there, but it only showed him married to Eidel, indicating that Moshe and Eidel were David Halpern's ancestors. It is possible that I'm just not very good with the JewishGen interactive charts, so perhaps one of you could take a look and let me know if there is a way to find Esther there through that link that I somehow missed. Or... perhaps since the about section for the profile of Esther #2 links us to the documentation that Eidel was married to Moshe, is it possible that Esther and Eidel are the same person?
