I did some Googling, but didn't really come up with anything. Maybe call antique dealers in Northumberland County and see if they're familiar with him or his pieces.
If you can actually find his pottery somewhere, it might cost a small fortune. A piece from Theophilus Miller, a potter from Perry County, PA sold for $71,500 at auction.

Projects like this are an opportunity to fill in details about a person in the past - this in turn may assist people to link together - if someone else with Shearer/Schearer ancestry stumbles upon your ancestor and discovers he was a potter and already know they had ancestors who were potters then it may assist a connection to be made.

I found some Redware from the story I found apparently Francis H Shearer bought his pottery business from A Jacob Bastian in Milton Pennsylvania found his pottery. This so neat. Now to find Francis Pottery. I add Jacob Bastian to Geni but don’t know much about him other then he was Potter.
