Deacon Benjamin Parsons - Parents?

Have you reviewed the citations in the profile about? What do you think yourself (pro & con)?

I looked for sources and at the revision tab when I did not see the parents I expected and I DID FIND them IN the sources and the history so I am curious how the parents changed and changed to Curated profiles both mother and father

Hugh Parsons, of Great Milton

Elizabeth Parsons

Wlliam Parsons

Margaret Parsons

The latter couple is unsourced and pretty barren/sparse

Deacon Benjamin Parsons's About says:

"Benjamin Parsons was a grandson of Thomas Parsons, of Great Milton, Oxfordshire, England, who died in 1597." (2) so perhaps this is the source.

I will work on finding more and adding them. I just always look at those tabs (sources and revisions)

Not sure who "I" is but there is this:

Benjamin, an early settler of Springfield, Massachusetts, was baptized May 1, 1625 at St. Mary's Church in Beaminster, Dorset, England, son of William Parsons and Margaret Hoskins (sic: I dont think this is correct....).

So I am thinking that the About needs cleaned up now that different parents have been added and curated.

I am ok with the change in parents, just caught off guard.

I have asked before about removing sources that are in error and so this question comes up again with this profile.

There are many cases of disputed or controversial or disproved or unproven or alternate parents, many with valid citations. So its good to preserve conflicting evidence.

Im surprised you said "recent change" as i wrote the "about" in 2014 with Hugh as father.

Actually I dont think its settled. I'd like to see more recent sources.

Interesting Ok. What about DNA sources? Are there any comparisons? I was excited to see Hoskins simply because of the name... It is one I have seen but rarely and is why I asked the original question once I made the connection.

See that parents have been revised to William Parsons of Beaminster & Margaret Parsons based on better research.
