"Charles-Amand Surette, fourth son of Pierre II and of Catherine Breau, was married twice;1st to Ozithe Pellerin, and 2nd to Claire Bois-Jolis, and they settled at Chezetcook, in Halifax County, N.S. about 1764. Placide Gaudet says of him: In April, 1807, Carles-Amand Surette and his son-in-law, Joseph Breau, went to Cocagne with the intention of establishing themselves in that place. Having found [it ]to their liking, they bought land at Barre and returned to Chezetcook , and on August 15, of the same year,Charles-Amand, better known as "old Amand Surette", went to Cocagne with all his children and their families, with the exception of Charles, his son, who remained at Chezetcook, and Ozithe, wife of Jean Boudreau of Arichat. Twenty years later, Charles(son) came to Cocagne with all his family, and it is there he died, May 8, 1842, at the age of 81 years."

Note: Amand Surette and Jeanne-Osithe Pellerin (Alexandre) m. c. 1761 from Petitcodiac took refuge at Fort Edward 1761-2 and settled at Cocagne.
