Oliver was born in 1736. Oliver is the 3rd son of Pierre Surette and Catherine Breau. Married Marie-Madeleine Bois-Jolis, (probably a sister of Philomene) settled at Eel Broook about 1768. They had only one child. George S. Brown says of him: "Olivier Surette built the first house at Eel Brook, afterwards occupied by Pierre 2nd. Olivier and his wife died early, and left an only daughter, Madeleine, who was brought up by her aunt, Madeleine Babin. She married Pierre Robicheau of Meteghan, brother of Armand; and they had four sons; Isaac, Michel, Marcel, and Paul; and three daughters, Perpetue, Ursule, and Marguerite. (p. 22-23, Musee Acadien).
