I am trying to find documentation that John Stoughton Wolcott who died circa 1843 is the father of George Washington Wolcott Sr. who died in Toledo, Ohio in 1919. I believe John S. Wolcott died in New York City or Litchfield Conn.
My great grandmother and grandmother had first hand documentation provided by George Washington Wolcott Sr. and George Washington Wolcott Jr. My aunt gave it to a relative at a family reunion sometime ago and now the documentation is lost.
