My name is Joseph Oks. I live in Israel, but originally from Ukraine and Poland routes.
Families: Oks,Ratner,Rosenfeld,Ginevski,German.
My mtDNA is N1b1b1

Were you tested at FTDNA?

Hi Joseph Oks,

My name is Arthur Sissman. I live in Naples FL. My mtDNA is also N1b1b1 according to FtDNA. The surnames on my maternal side are Friedman from Hungary as far as I know. However at 23&me, "they" say my mtDNA is N1b2. There is a bid difference between the 2 haplogroups and I am confused?

I also see on FF at FtDNA we are atDNA match. We share: Arthur 5-remote C 100 cM total and 9 cM on longest segment. You also match on FF to my brother, Ben Sissman at 5 to remote C and 57 cm/ 9cM. You are also an X-match to Ben, which makes sense. Since I only go back to 2 ggparents, we will never match genealogically.

Obviously, we must be related some 8-10 generations ago! Hi Cuz!

Regards,
Arthur Sissman

Hi Cuz Arthur! Nice to meet you!🤝

To Joseph. My MtDNA is from my Aaronson line within 150 miles of Iassi (Now Romania) towards Ukraine, Bessarabia, Romania, Moldova.

I happened upon this thread and recognized the mtDNA N1b1b1 as one of the groups reported from 14th Century Erfurt. Sample I11737: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.05.13.491805v1
