Is this Col. George Slaughter the same as the one mentioned in this book? .....

pages 692 and 693

All 3 links are for the same George. I have seen the letter, and I added the link to Louisville to his bio previously. With permission, I'd like to add the links you both supplied to his bio.

Ok by me....it's not my personal link....found it on the internet. I think he and his wife are mistakenly listed on my tree. Will find the profile again and show you.

Never mind.....I had already changed things....I knew George and Mary didn't have any kids. Let me know if you know anything on this Slaughter. His daughter was one of the wives of my 5th great grandfather....Peter Rush. Not 100% sure of the accuracy of Peter's tree....22 children?

Philip Slaughter

Fine by me as well. These are just links I found by a Google search.

Diana, it says that I am not blood to Phillip but here is my path.

Looks like your Philip Slaughter might be of German descent, therefore unrelated to the English Slaughter's of Virginia. I have seen the German name originating as Slotta and Schlotter, I think. It's possible some Schlotter's were in the Germanna Colony not far from the Culpeper, Va. Slaughter's. Just some thoughts...
