John West of Accomack IS NOT the same person as John West of New Kent County. Whoever posted that, and whoever thought it was acceptable (it isn't), both Fail Geography Forever.

Accomack County is on the EAST side of the Chesapeake Bay. New Kent County is on the WEST side. The bay is so wide and so stormy that people born on one or the other side tended to *stay* on that side. People who messed around with it risked getting drowned (like Edward Dorsey I).

John West of Accomack is the son of Anthony West of London, chirurgeon. And a couple of his descendants have taken Y-DNA tests and found that they match each other AND NO OTHER WESTS FROM ANY OTHER FAMILY WHATSOEVER.

Yeah, now how do we get that Bad Match deleted before it royally screws up several family trees?

Curators?

Yes I think so - at least those are the correct names for his parents. (I'm not sure whether Anne's actual birth name was ever authoritatively identified - the christening record doesn't give one.)
