I am wondering if any of you are related to the Russell men of Company I of the 15th.
William Russell may be my 5ggf. The names, Lewis, Robert, William, and George are repeated generational family names.
Do any of you have suggestions on how I could find the ages of the men listed in the 15th. My 4ggf Lewis Jasper Russell would have been 12 in 1862 when the Russells seem to have enlisted.
If these are indeed my relations, Lewis would have been 12, his brother G.W. would have been in his late teens, and his dad William in his 40's.
I have a mortality schedule from Little Rock showing the death of a William Russell in 1860 but I am not sure that is my William or another relation.
Any help locking this down would be appreciated.
