William Beckwith whose wife Elizabeth married Peter Butler is not the William Beckwith who married Elizabeth Woodfield… See the attached Beckwith book page 32 for the former and page 71-72 for the latter. Many researchers have incorrectly confused these two different William Beckwith's and their wives. That is why none of the trees listing Woodfield as the maiden name for Peter Butler’s wife do not list any references as their research is flawed.
