Greetings,
Have recently stumbled upon written documentation which leads my father's paternal line to what's now called Lunno, within Grodno, Belarus. Many family members left for NYC prior to WW1, including my great grand father Jacob Cohen.
Their original surname was Yedwab. The men all had Ha'Cohen as a part of their middle name. DNA tests have shown I am Y-M267.
I don't want to be too verbose as I'm trying out the discussion groups for the first time. You may see the extend of my research along the line in my tree, if you wish.
