Elizabeth Huff (Stout) - Why are these children showing as step children to her?

His Find-a-Grave page only lists one wife and not all the children connected here on Geni. I realize often Find-a-Grave pages are incomplete though. I'm trying to find out if son Joseph was the child of Elizabeth Scruggs though because that's on a line I'm tracing and Joseph is only my relative if his mother was Elizabeth Scruggs.

Any clarification on whether it's proven that Leonard was married more than once and who the mother of this person is would be appreciated - because he's connected to two mothers:

Apparently, there were more than one Elizabeth Huff and the two families have cris crossed.
There was an Elizabeth Isom born 1746 that was the daughter of John Isom and Rebecca Lucy Jones. She married Thomas Huff.

The Elizabeth Scruggs Huff 1736 above is ten years younger and married Lenard Huff.

Apparently, there were more than one Elizabeth Huff and the two families have cris crossed.
