In 1672 James' oldest brother was about 12 years old. There were several other children under the age of 12. How could James have been born in Warwick, Warwickshire, England when his family was in the United States? The assumed father was John Osborne b. 1631 and Mariam Rebecca Hand. DNA tests on those who descend from this line matches the DNA of the brother Stephen Osborne b. 1634. Which means that you are attached to the right line. However in 1930 a lawyer by the name of Will Daniels hired a professional researcher to find the parents of Ephraim Osborne of Grayson, VA. The person gave him false information. But he later realized it was not correct. He sent this information out to a lot of people. And it spread like wild fire!

"IF" James is the son then he wouldn't have been born in Warwick, Warwickshire, England. It is possible that his wife was and he could have met her in the states. But James had younger brothers here at the time of his birth. They also claimed that Jonathan Osborne was the son of James Osborne and Ann Carter. Jonathan claiming to be married to Gretta Hollman/Hollmon. Both Jonathan and Gretta were suppose to be born in Warwick, Warwickshire, England also. This is not consistent with where the rest of the family is documented in the United States!
