This would be tough one to verify.
The reference to the father of Mary Ashley, of Springfield , widow of Thomas Horton, of Mowsley & Springfield as “Peletiah Glover” comes from a book called Parsons Family : Descendants of Cornet Joseph Parsons : Springfield, 1636 -- Northampton, 1655, page 76, online at Ancestry.com

With no citation.
Horton was from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mowsley in Leicestershire.
I do see a christening record for a Mary Glover, daughter of William Glover, at a different location in Leicestershire in the right time frame:

Mary Glover
Gender:
Female
Christening:
Aug 20 1612
Buckminster w/Sewstern, Leicestershire, England
Father:
William Glover
This village seems a hike from Mowsley:

So we’ve established that there were indeed Glover families in the county.
Notably, there’s a Pelatiah Glover from a Lancashire Glover family, but that’s a different area in England. It does make me wonder if the book picked up the name from him.
There’s been a lot of confusion about this lady’s origins, so there should be TAG articles discussing the possibilities.
The Parsons book (Volume 1, Page 76) is available at GoogleBooks by Henry Parsons, AM, member NYGBS. (I mention this to see if he had access to parish registers).

The book is referring to a later Mary Ashley - this one:
Robert Ashley, father of Joseph, was of Springfield, Mass., b. 1639, and d. Nov. 29, 1682. He m. 1641, Mary, widow of Thomas Horton, and dau. of Peletiah Glover, of Springfield, Mass.

I don’t know yet if the book is confused or if we have a repeating name situation.
