Đúng họ là Chu, họ Đỗ là theo họ ông Đội Tiến.
Ngày xưa cụ Khanh làm người giữ ngựa cho ông đội Tiến rồi lấy họ ông đội Tiến làm họ của mình, coi như con cháu để được nhờ cậy, giúp đỡ.
