Geni shows another brother also named Joseph, who died in 1675.
WikiTree only shows one Joseph. That could be because the first one died young.
If there were two, the first born in 1667, died 1775, then it might make sense that they named the new son Joseph so the father would have a namesake. It is a little less credible that they were both born in 1667 as Geni shows. And no sense at all that they were both named Joseph.
It seems that either there was only one son named Joseph, or the second was born in 1675.

I think you are right. I have in my papers Joseph Bent born in 1675 (d.1728). I think the birthday in the Geni record has mistaken the birthday of what is probably the deceased 8 year old (b.1667). New siblings were often named for their deceased siblings.
