Queries
1) He was born in 1785 but baptised four years earlier in 1781. His trial records give an approximate age - born c1787 - what evidence is there that either of these dates belong to this John?
2) He has 2 daughters Elizabeth (confirmed to birth and baptism records) - one in 1814 and one in 1815 - the one born in 1814 most likely died before the second one was born - however on Geni the first one has a husband - any objections to me moving the husband and her death date to the second Elizabeth
3) He has 2 sets of parents. His trial records do not give any parents - what evidence is there that either of these sets of parents belong to this John?

@ John Russell. I agree about his transportation, marriage and children. (I descend from Frances.) However there is no evidence to connect John Russell the convict with either of these sets of parents. They are guesses. I wish it were otherwise.
At his trial in 1808, his age was stated as 21. So he was probably born in 1787.
The Tasmania Library website confirms both births of Elizabeth to John and Lydia (though there seem to be no deaths recorded for that year). Clearly the husband belongs to the 1815 birth.
