Sometimes within the last month and with no notification from GENI, I have lost the ability to permanently delete any profile that I have personally created. When I try to permanently delete a deleted profile I suddenly get the "Error. You don't have permission to view this page" notification, and the profile that I try to delete stays on the deleted list. That was not happening up to a month ago.
What is going on?
Is this just a mistake, or is GENI taking the complete control over everything that was, and ever will be posted here? I should have the right to choose what information I am willing to share and keep.

I can never remember remember how to find the deleted profiles I created.
I knew there was a way, and that one could undelete them.
But I never heard of any option to "permanently delete" them after they were deleted.

Can you provide any more details on that?

If you can get to the list of his deleted profiles (https://www.geni.com/list/deleted), there are two possible action choices, one is to restore a profile and the other is to delete it permanently. Delete permanently used to work for me, but now I "don't have a permission". The question is who has the right to deny me deleting a profile that i have created?

I can't answer this and the link you posted goes to my personal deleted list. I see two options on my list.

I tried to permanently delete one of the profiles I am the sole manager of and got the same error message.

Thanks for that generic link for each of us to the list of our profiles which have been deleted.

Anybody know when the "Delete Permanently" option was added?

I don't pay much attention to my deleted list. I see it goes back to 2010. I have undeleted profiles in the past, usually if someone else deleted profiles I manage, which is against the terms of service, by the way.

I have never used the delete permanently button and have no idea if it's been there for a long time or not. I think not since I don't remember it.
