Yes, Thomas Earp who settled in Baltimore was the progenitor of the Nicholas Porter Earp family. The family spread from Maryland to Virginia and North Carolina. The Nicholas Porter Earp clan moved west from Lincoln County, North Carolina to Kentucky then Illinois. From there the family followed a brother to Pelli, Iowa. So, there is a direct connection with Wyatt Earp and his brothers. My grandmother was Arnetta Earp, was the granddaughter of Lorenzo Dow Earp, Nicholas Earp’s older brother.
