CHRISTIAAN LODEV(W)ICUS DE JAGER: B: 1832: Gg-granddaughter, the granddaughter of the son of CL de Jager namely Christoffel Lombard de Jager remembers that Christiaan Lodewikus was murdered in app 1896. He was a transporter and gave a few men a liftcon his wagon. He was murdered by them. He had £3 on him and was probably killed for the money. So barbaric and sad!! The murderers was cought and sentenced to death. They were hanged in Harrismith. If anybody have documentation on this tragic death, please add? Thanks. Lena-Marié Lotheringen, de jager decendant.
